Flora Belle McDonald, 1911 Springfield, OH
Flora Belle McDonald.jpg
My Grandmother, an ALT/RICE descendant

Many times the clothes date the picture.  The dotted veil on the hat, above was popular about 1909/1910.  The style of the dress coat dates 1911.  Flora Belle MCDONALD was married Dec. 12, 1911 to Arthur Lester FOLEY, so this is probably her engagement photo.

Flora Belle MCDONALD was the daughter of Wesley MCDONALD and Mary Belle RICE.  Her mother was the daughter of Alonzo RICE and Mary Ellen AULT, both children of some of the earliest pioneers in Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio.
